The goal of the writing contest is pretty simple; I want to read some cool stories.
So, who am I? My name is Tony Brown - I was born in the north end and have lived in the Tacoma area for most of my life. I love this city and the people in it, and this is my way of saying thank you to all of the cool shit I've seen and done here.
Why did I pick Big Foot? There really isn't a ton of media about the sasquatch. Harry and the Hendersons was an excellent movie...it came out in 1987. There are a handful of other movies but nothing mainstream. Bigfoot is a fascinating story when you start digging. The legend of Bigfoot transcends written language existing for centuries in the oral history of the Salish peoples.
